intermediate chess students are employed as chess coaches for beginners.

through chess tournaments such as training to be a Tournament Director.

opportunities for the Performing Arts and display of artwork for Visual

Letters of Recommendations provided
for students who complete the textbook and volunteer at chess related
events for a minimum of 20 hours.
This program supports chess programs in underprivileged schools anywhere in the world. Any chess family traveling this summer is welcome to take chess sets to donate.
Dr. Kiran Frey has compiled this interesting history of the chess movement in Barrington beginning in 1998 when Rishi Sethi started a chess club at Grove Avenue Elementary.
