Chess Club Puzzles (Fall 2007 session)

Instructions: There are two sets, group 1 for beginners and group 2 for more advanced students. If you are in group 1, try to solve the easier set.

In all of the positions, it is white to move. Some are straight-forward checkmate puzzles, and others are to win material.

Write down your answers in notation, or print out positions and write down your answers. Drawing answer arrows is sufficient for group 1, but not for group 2 as solutions are 2-3 moves long.

Bring your answers to the club session. Also some instructions are inside of the Homework.  Good luck!
