Coaching
GM Shulman has taught chess to children and adults since 1992 through private coaching, chess camps, and at formal chess schools such as the International Karpov School of Chess, and the Great Knights school in NY state.
The Yury Shulman International Chess School specializes in group and personal chess instruction for people of all ages in the greater Chicago area and beyond. The School also partners with other organizations to promote chess activities and events for chess enthusiasts. GM Shulman travels extensively to coach at chess camps, clubs and schools as championship schedules permit. His personable teaching style and engaging personality makes him very popular with adults and children alike.

Individual Instruction
Personal instruction from GM Shulman is provided at his office located at 428 Waverly Road, Barrington, IL 60010 at $75/ hour.
Personal instruction from Rishi Sethi is available for $30/hour.

Group lessons are held on Saturdays at 428 Waverly Road, Barrington IL 60010.
Three 1-hour lessons run from 10:00 until 1:30 p.m. every Saturday. No preregistration is required. CONTACT us for questions.
